Dean has been photographing weddings for the last
22 years .... he was a mere lad when he started!
At the time, the trend was for twenty 8" prints
stuck in an album, and every wedding had the same format.
In 1999, Dean went digital - many years before
everyone else! His first 200kb digital image camera (it had a
wow factor then!) was used solely for uploading web images to his
new web site. We knew then that it would take off as brides
wanted copies of these images. Unfortunately they were not
printable at that file size.
Meanwhile the trend for "reportage" was beginning
which meant taking a second camera out on weddings for black and
whites. Sadly, albums still insisted on a defined number of prints
that meant many images never made it to the album.
Finally digital went BIG time. Cameras
became better and better, the album companies starting creating
printed books - both of which meant that more, high-quality images
could be taken and they could all be included in the album.
Dean created a unique style for his wedding albums, by creating
pages that told the story of the wedding day. The first
StoryBook album was born - and Dean continues at the forefront of
wedding photography to this day with his NEW Designer Albums.
